Phyllis Quek, a full-time model before she went into acting, was placed third in Star Search 1995 in the female category. Prior to this award, she was named first runner-up in the Best Model of the Year contest and second runner-up in the New Face of the Year 1994 contest.
She made her debut in Beyond Dawn and also starred in Ace Cops, Triumph over the Green and Marriage, Dollars and Sense. In the Star Awards 96, Phyllis was named the Most Popular Newcomer. [Mediacity.com.sg]
